Participating in the Oct&Nov Circle?

A small online learning community for artists, researchers, and cultural workers working with archives.

The Mentorship Circle is an eight-week online space for artists and researchers working with archives, memory, and artistic research who seek a more sustained engagement with their practice. Grounded in critical pedagogies, the program prioritizes attention, consistency, and care, offering a framework for developing projects beyond the pressures of productivity.

By the end of the Circle, you'll leave with a clearer sense of direction for your project, concrete tools to sustain your process, and a small community that has your back.

How it works:
ꕥ Small international cohorts (up to 6 participants), curated around complementary practices
ꕥ Weekly online sessions + one individual mentoring session
ꕥ Readings, exercises, and writing prompts
ꕥ Peer-to-peer learning and mutual support

Calendar:
ꕥ Weeks 1-3 — Grounding: we get to know each other's projects, and start a dialogue with our archives and materials.
ꕥ Week 4 — Activating: you work with someone else's project as if it were your own; testing methods, offering an exercise, seeing what shifts.
ꕥ Week 5 — Individual session: one hour, just you and camila, working through what your project needs.
ꕥ Week 6 — Opening the circuit: we share work-in-progress with the group, at whatever stage it's in.
ꕥ Week 7 — Testing ground: you bring something to show — a fragment, a draft, an experiment — and the group responds as a live audience, not a critique panel.
ꕥ Week 8 — Mapping & closing: you lay out everything the project has moved through since week 1, name what's still open, and each person leaves with one thread to carry forward.

Artists, researchers, writers, archivists, curators, filmmakers, and cultural workers engaging with archives, memory, and artistic research — at any stage of their process — who are looking for a structured yet flexible framework to move their practice forward with clarity, consistency, and care.

Facilitated by camila kevorkian, founder of Archival Bootcamp, with 13 years working in education, archives, memory, and artistic practice across Spain, Australia, Nepal, Argentina, and Chile, collaborating with libraries, institutional archives, museums, and universities.
